Are you an experienced SHEQ professional ready to drive change and make a real impact? Technical Prospects are currently recruiting a proactive and focused SHEQ Manager on behalf of our growing Leeds manufacturing client. This is a newly created position, due to the continued growth of our clients business, so would suit a SHEQ Manager who is confident being hands-on, comfortable being solely responsible for all SHEQ standards onsite. The SHEQ Manager will have a strong background in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, ideally within a manufacturing or warehousing environment, and have a passion for continuous improvement, risk reduction, and promotion of a positive safety culture.

SHEQ Manager - Key Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) functions across our clients manufacturing and warehousing operation.
  • Manage and maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance, including audits, documentation, and updates.
  • Review, develop, and implement SHEQ policies, systems, and procedures to meet regulatory and business requirements.
  • Improve existing standards and establish new processes to reduce operational risk and ensure legal compliance.
  • Lead a positive SHEQ culture across all levels of the organisation through training, engagement, and visible leadership.
  • Act as the main point of contact for SHEQ matters and liaise with regulatory bodies where necessary.
  • Monitor KPIs, conduct internal audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
SHEQ Manager - Ideal Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a SHEQ role within a manufacturing, warehousing or industrial environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 ideally as a lead implementer or auditor.
  • A track record of developing and embedding SHEQ systems that reduce risk and improve performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) preferred.
