Our client is a well-established engineering services company based in the Ripon area, currently recruiting a Maintenance Technician to join their engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of machinery and equipment, conducting maintenance and repairs when needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform inspections of machinery and equipment and resolve issues before they escalate.
- Carry out daily safety checks on machines and document any defects or repairs undertaken. Training will be provided on this.
- Assist with Health and Safety checks.
- Assist with general workshop maintenance and ensuring a tidy workshop.
- Occasionally assist with the needs of the business including driving company vehicles, helping with production, delivery and despatch.
- Conduct risk assessments before works are undertaken.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
- Experience working with electrics would be an advantage but not essential.
- A good attention to detail required for inspecting equipment.
- Some heavy lifting and manual handling required.
- Able to prioritise workloads and be comfortable working to deadlines.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday 07:30 to 16:00. All successful candidates will be contacted within 5 days of application.
