Our client is an established and highly respected manufacturing business based in North Yorkshire. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Product Support Manager to lead the Product Support team, ensuring customers, partners, and internal teams receive accurate, practical, and timely technical support.

The Product Support Manager's primary focus will be on team leadership, workload planning, reporting and on-time delivery, supported by technical guidance, escalation support, and application knowledge regarding the integration of our clients' products into existing and new applications.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead the Product Support function, ensuring customers have the technical expertise, documentation, and guidance they need to integrate our clients' products safely, effectively, and with confidence.
  • Provide clear visibility of team workload, set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality technical support.
  • Oversee performance reporting, monitor team effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement across the function.
  • Coach and develop Technical Leads and their teams, maintain robust support processes, manage technical escalations, and ensure customer requirements, technical deliverables, and improvement initiatives are completed to agreed quality standards and timescales.
Skills & Experience:
  • STEM related Degree is preferred.
  • Manager/Leader with experience in application engineering, product support, project management or a related technical leadership role.
  • Experience gained within the automotive, transportation, aerospace, forestry, agricultural or earthmoving industry would be highly beneficial.
  • Proven capability in people management, workload planning, prioritisation, resource allocation, action tracking, performance management, reporting, and delivery control.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, experienced producing or reviewing BOMs, CAD drawings, HAZIDs, specifications, technical reports, and customer guidance.
  • Confident reporting KPIs, workload status, overdue actions, risks, blockers, and completion performance.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and delivery discipline.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm. Based at our client's North Yorkshire office with flexibility to attend customer sites.
