Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in North Yorkshire, currently seeking an experienced Global Logistics Manager to lead and develop their international logistics operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a global logistics function, driving efficiency, improving visibility, and ensuring best-in-class service delivery across UK and worldwide operations.

Purpose

As Global Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics process ensuring cost-effective, efficient, and seamless delivery of products across global markets. You will play a key role in mapping and optimising logistics processes, implementing tracking systems, and building strong partnerships with external providers to enhance performance and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the global logistics function across UK and international operations.
  • Design and implement streamlined logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
  • Map the full delivery journey ensuring consistency across all regions.
  • Develop and introduce tracking systems to provide real-time visibility for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) with logistics partners.
  • Build strong relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party providers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Analyse performance data, identify trends, and report on key metrics.
  • Develop forecasting and reporting models to support commercial decision-making.
  • Proactively resolve delays, issues, and inefficiencies across the supply chain.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a hands-on, solutions-focused logistics professional with a strong background in global logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience managing global/export logistics functions.
  • Strong knowledge of import/export documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Experience improving logistics and warehouse processes.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and stakeholder management.
  • Confidence working with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in data structuring and reporting.
  • The ability to build forecasting models to support business growth.
  • Relevant logistics or supply chain qualifications beneficial, not essential.
