Our client is an established engineering business supporting renewable energy projects based in North Yorkshire, currently seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Contracts Manager. The successful candidate will play a key part in managing contractual and commercial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring cost control, compliance, and effective coordination with internal teams and clients.

Working closely with senior management, the Contracts Manager will oversee contract performance, manage pricing variations, and support project cost management across a diverse portfolio of works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate, manage, track, and price contract variations across multiple live projects
  • Administer contracts in line with NEC and JCT forms
  • Monitor project costs and ensure accurate financial tracking throughout project lifecycles
  • Support the pricing and commercial assessment of larger projects and tenders
  • Work collaboratively with senior team members to manage project costs, incorporating a quantity surveying approach
  • Assist in cost forecasting, reporting, and financial control of contracts
  • Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Conduct site visits as required to assess progress, variations, and commercial implications

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Contracts Manager, Project Manager or similar commercial role within construction, infrastructure, or the renewable energy sector
  • Strong working knowledge and hands‑on experience with NEC and JCT contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to manage price contract variations effectively
  • Experience in project cost control, financial tracking, and reporting
  • Experience assisting with pricing and tendering for larger‑scale projects
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

This is a full‑time, permanent position, predominantly at our client’s office near Pickering, North Yorkshire.
