The Manufacturing Electronics Engineer will work as part of an engineering team to ensure effective production across the factory floor, working to improve processes and develop lean practices. Responsibilities will include:
- Assist with NPIs
- Implement new processes on the factory floor
- Support technicians with fault diagnosis and repair of production equipment
- Carry out updates to controlled drawings and documentation
- Introduce LEAN improvements within production to improve productivity and reduce waste
- Liaise with external contractors to coordinate planned maintenance or repairs
- Perform calibration tasks on production equipment and maintain accurate records
- Train production staff on new or updated processes or equipment
- Assist with shop floor layout change activities and new equipment installations
- Create programmes for production equipment
- Design and install jigs and fixtures
- Research and install new production equipment
- Perform takt time analysis of cells to set and improve KPIs across production
- Design and install new production cells
- Develop automation solutions
- Run pre-production activities
- Review and approve concessions
- Additional duties as required
Manufacturing Electronics Engineer requirements:
- Degree level qualification in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- Experience within engineering / production environment
- Experience in PCBA manufacture, design and testing
- Automation systems
- Solid foundation in electronics down to the component level
Desirable:
- Knowledge of lean processes and process development
- CAD software (SolidWorks)
- Test software (LabView)
