Production Supervisor required in Yeadon, Leeds for a precision aerospace component manufacturer. Up to £40,000 per annum, Monday to Friday day shifts (early finish Friday). Working within a high-quality technical manufacturing environment, the role involves supervising a production team and managing operational performance to ensure safety, quality and efficiency targets are achieved.

Production Supervisor responsibilities:
  • Achieving daily KPIs for throughput, cost and efficiency
  • Leading health & safety investigations, risk assessments and safety audits
  • Able to identify cost saving opportunities and project manage these to completion
  • Coaching of individuals to improve quality and throughput performance
  • Lead continuous improvement through the championing of 6S and lean manufacturing methods
  • Develop team leader network to help with communication and engagement on safety, quality and performance topics
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures, including but not restricted to: SOX, Code of Conduct, Health and Safety, quality assurance, etc.
Candidate requirements:
  • Previous supervisory experience within an engineering manufacturing environment
  • Strong people management and communication skills
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methods
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Engineering qualification (HNC or equivalent) desirable

Hours: 38 per week
Monday Tuesday 07:30 - 16:30
Wednesday Thursday 07:30 - 16:15
Friday 07:30 - 12:00

Benefits: 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, matched pension up to 7.5%, bonus scheme, enhanced maternity and paternity packages.
