Mig Welder Stockport | Permanent | Β£19.97 per hour Excellent Benefits Excellent opportunity for an experienced MIG Welder with Aluminium experience to join a leading defence manufacturer in Stockport, working on the assembly of complex military engineering systems. This is a hands-on welding position within a modern manufacturing environment, offering great career prospects and working conditions, where you will be responsible for producing high-quality welded assemblies in line with engineering drawings, welding specifications and required quality standards.

Pay & Benefits Β£19.97 per hour overtime Monday to Thursday: 0700-1530. Friday: 0700-1200 Attractive pension – 4% employee contribution and 7% employer contribution Half-day Friday 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Additional long-service holiday Cycle-to-work scheme As a Welder, you will: MIG weld aluminium components and assemblies to required standards Work from engineering drawings, work instructions and welding specifications Prepare, weld, dress and finish components Inspect completed welds for quality and dimensional accuracy Identify and correct welding defects Use hand and powered tools safely Complete relevant production and quality documentation Work safely and efficiently to production schedules Candidate Requirements: Aluminium MIG welding experience within manufacturing or fabrication Ability to read and work from engineering drawings Good understanding of welding processes and quality standards Ability to identify and correct welding defects Relevant welding qualifications / certifications advantageous Heavy engineering or defence experience beneficial If you are an experienced Welder looking for a long-term opportunity within a modern manufacturing environment, please apply or contact Tim Hill at Technical Placements for an initial confidential discussion.
