Unique opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanical Fitter to join a prestigious training facility in Chatham, Kent. £35K rising to £37K after probation period + excellent benefits, training and career prospects. 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday), permanent.

The Maintenance Mechanical Fitter will work on inspection, testing and repair of mechanical machinery and equipment used within the technical trade training workshops, offices and classrooms covered by MKC Training estates (including Brompton, Wainscott and Maidstone).
The Maintenance Mechanical Fitter will hold relevant qualifications such as an Apprenticeship or training with C&G, NVQ or equivalent, and will work on a variety of equipment requiring the following skills:
- Machine turning
- Milling
- Bench fitting
- Welding and brazing
- Sheet metal work
- Petrol and diesel engines/generators
- Pumps and hydraulics
- Servicing of small and large machines
Able to read and interpret engineering diagrams and charts. Ability to work at height. Full UK driving license is required.
