South Leicester | Permanent | 37 Hours | 3-Shift Rotation | Up to £19.30 per hour + Overtime + Bonus Excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector, CMM Dimensional Inspector or Engineering Inspector to join a leading aerospace manufacturing business in South Leicester. We have recruited for this growing manufacturer for over 20 years. They manufacture precision components for the aerospace and industrial gas turbine industries and offer excellent working conditions, long-term stability and opportunities for development. The Central Inspector will be responsible for carrying out dimensional and quality inspection across the manufacturing facility, ensuring components are produced to the required engineering specifications and customer standards. The Role
You will carry out a variety of inspection activities including: First-off inspection of machined components Dimensional inspection to tight tolerances Conventional and CMM inspection In-process and sample inspections Receipt inspection of components returning from subcontractors Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and method specifications Visual inspection of manufactured components Identifying non-conformances and completing relevant documentation Airflow inspection where required Ensuring components meet strict customer and quality requirements What We're Looking For
Ideally, you will have: Previous experience within quality, CMM, dimensional or engineering inspection Experience inspecting precision-engineered components to tight tolerances Good understanding of engineering drawings Experience using conventional inspection and measuring equipment Experience using CMM machines Previous experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment Excellent attention to detail Basic computer literacy SAP experience would be advantageous but is not essential Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team Pay
£18.73 per hour starting rate, including 21% shift premium Increasing to £19.30 per hour following successful completion of training Overtime available Bonus scheme Hours
37 hours per week – rotating 3-shift pattern, Monday to Friday. Morning: Monday–Thursday: 05:45–13:45 Friday: 05:45–10:45 Afternoon: Monday–Thursday: 13:45–21:45 Friday: 10:45–15:45 Night: Monday–Thursday: 21:45–05:45 Friday: 15:45–20:45 During the initial training period: Monday–Thursday: 08:00–16:25 Friday: 08:00–13:20 Benefits
