Trainee Falconer / Pest Control Wildlife Operative required in the Bristol area. Exclusive opportunity for someone passionate about wildlife, birds of prey and the outdoors to join a leading UK environmental management company. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a genuine interest in wildlife and animals who would like to turn their passion into a rewarding career. No previous experience necessary – full training provided! This includes specialist falconry training at the company's dedicated bird training centre, practical pest control training and the opportunity to gain recognised RSPH qualifications. This is a varied, hands-on position offering excellent training, development and long-term career prospects. Salary & Benefits * £26,436.80 starting salary, rising to £27,810 for trained operatives * Commission scheme and overtime available * Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 | Permanent * Company vehicle, fuel card and mobile phone * 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days with service * Health cash plan, online GP and wellbeing support * Pension scheme and employee discounts * Full falconry and pest management training provided * Opportunity to gain recognised RSPH qualifications * Bonus and incentive opportunities Wildlife Operative Responsibilities * Handling and flying birds of prey, including hawks and falcons * Carrying out wildlife and pest management at customer sites * Installing bird-proofing systems and deterrents * Inspecting sites and identifying pest activity * Travelling to customer locations and working independently Candidate Requirements * Genuine enthusiasm for wildlife, animals and the outdoors * Practical, reliable and willing to learn * Good communication and customer service skills * Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions * Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) Previous experience in falconry, pest control, conservation, agriculture or grounds maintenance would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided. Travel is generally within a 50-mile radius of home, although further travel may occasionally be required. For falconry duties, suitable space at home to accommodate a working bird of prey will be required.
