We’re hiring Production Supervisors with strong heavy manufacturing / assembly experience to lead multi-skilled teams within a fast-growing global defence manufacturer supplying equipment to the British military. This is a hands-on leadership role with real accountability for safety, delivery, quality, and cost. You’ll lead teams of Welders, Fabricators, and / or Mechanical & Electrical Fitters, driving performance while embedding a strong continuous improvement culture.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading manufacturing teams to deliver right-first-time product
  • Owning SHE leadership, risk management, and safe systems of work
  • Achieving schedule adherence, creating recovery plans and SIC where needed
  • Managing labour deployment, productivity, and returned hour targets
  • Driving continuous improvement across safety, quality, cost, and delivery
  • Managing absence, welfare, competence, and performance reviews
  • Leading shift briefs and daily communications
  • Owning and reporting SQCDP KPIs and production metrics
  • Ensuring full compliance with quality systems and manufacturing procedures
  • Maintaining a visitor-ready, audit-ready shopfloor environment

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in heavy manufacturing environments
  • HND / Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering
  • Strong background as a Production / Manufacturing Supervisor
  • IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent H&S qualification
  • Experience leading teams in Aerospace, Automotive or similar sectors
  • Confident with SAP or ERP systems and MRP principles
  • Track record in production planning, recovery plans, and KPI reporting
  • Strong people leadership, resource planning, and risk management skills
