Unique opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanical Fitter to join a prestigious training facility in Chatham, Kent.

Pay: £35,000 rising to £37,000 after probation. 37 hours per week (Mon‑Fri), permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspection, testing and repair of mechanical machinery and equipment used within technical trade training workshops, offices and classrooms across MKC Training estates.
  • Work on a variety of equipment requiring machine turning, milling, bench fitting, welding & brazing, sheet metal work, petrol & diesel engines/generators, pumps and hydraulics, and servicing of small and large machines.
  • Read and interpret engineering diagrams and charts.
  • Work at height as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Relevant qualification: Apprenticeship or training with C&G, NVQ or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving licence.
