Are you an experienced shift Maintenance Engineer / Technician with CNC Machine experience, looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced, high-performance, high precision aerospace environment? We have recruited for this growing precision component manufacturer for over 20 years. They have a very professional reputation offering great working conditions and future prospects. They manufacture a range of products from the smallest aerospace parts to large industrial gas turbine parts and as such, they are a key figure in the power generation supply chain and aerospace markets.

The CNC Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly by responding to breakdowns, leading preventative maintenance efforts, and driving continuous improvement across the facility.

Maintenance Engineer / Technician - What You'll Do
  • Respond to machine breakdowns and facility issues with professionalism and urgency
  • Develop and support preventative maintenance schedules
  • Contribute to safety initiatives and facility improvement projects
  • Work both independently and collaboratively in a shift-based team
  • Liaise with contractors while ensuring compliance with site policies
Requirements

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with drive and enthusiasm, willing and able to contribute to the development of the company through involvement in continuous improvement projects/activities and have a willingness and drive to actively endorse and promote excellent standards of work and health and safety compliance along with maintenance best practice.

Essential:
  • Strong maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with CNC machinery
  • Knowledge of drives, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Desirable:
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations
  • Mechanical skills (e.g., spindle rebuilds, bearing replacements)
  • Relevant formal qualification in maintenance (preferred but not required)
