About the Company
Our client is a specialist business operating within the façades and cladding sector, delivering projects across the South East. Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who is ready to take ownership of their own projects and play a key role in their commercial delivery.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who has developed a strong commercial foundation and is ready to operate with a high degree of independence. You will be responsible for managing the commercial performance of 2–3 projects simultaneously, typically ranging from £1m–£3m in value, taking ownership from procurement through to final account. Projects will be based across the South East, with the role offering a hybrid working arrangement from the company's Greenwich office. The key requirement is someone who can confidently manage their own workload and projects without requiring significant day-to-day supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full commercial ownership of multiple projects from procurement through to final account
- Manage projects typically valued between £1m–£3m
- Oversee the commercial performance of 2–3 projects simultaneously
- Manage procurement, subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments
- Monitor project costs, variations, applications and financial performance
- Prepare and agree final accounts
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
- Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
- Ensure projects remain commercially controlled and profitable throughout their lifecycle
- Attend project and client meetings across the South East as required
About You
Our client is looking for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who is ready to take the next step in their career and independently run their own projects. Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within façades, cladding or a closely related construction sector
- Experience independently managing projects from procurement through to final account
- Experience managing projects in the £1m–£3m range
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding
- Excellent client and subcontractor management skills
- The confidence to make commercial decisions independently
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Flexibility to travel to projects across the South East when required
