Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Facades & Roofing Location: Wrexham – with site visits across the North West Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 Role: Intermediate Quantity Surveyor Sector: Roofing, Cladding, Rainscreen & Aluminium Facades About the Company Our client is a specialist contractor operating across the roofing and façade sectors, delivering a range of high-quality solutions across commercial, residential and refurbishment projects. With an established presence in the market and a strong pipeline of work across the North West, our client is looking to strengthen their commercial team with an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who is looking to develop their career within a specialist construction environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with experience within facades, cladding, roofing or a related construction discipline to take the next step in their career. The Role As an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of a range of projects, working closely with the operational, design and commercial teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully and profitably. The role will be based from the company's Wrexham head office, with regular site visits across the North West. Key Responsibilities Managing the commercial aspects of projects from procurement through to final account. Preparing, submitting and agreeing valuations, variations and applications for payment. Monitoring project costs, budgets and financial performance. Managing subcontractor and supplier accounts. Reviewing contracts, scopes of work and commercial documentation. Identifying and managing variations and potential commercial risks. Assisting with forecasting, cost reporting and cash-flow management. Working closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers and the wider commercial team. Attending project sites across the North West when required. Supporting the preparation and agreement of final accounts. Maintaining accurate commercial records and ensuring contractual requirements are met. About You Our client is looking for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who has gained experience within construction and is keen to continue developing within a specialist contractor. Ideally, you will have: Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction. Experience within facades, roofing, cladding, rainscreen or aluminium would be highly beneficial. Good understanding of commercial and contractual processes. Experience with valuations, variations, subcontract management and final accounts. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. A commercially minded and proactive approach. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team. A willingness to travel to sites across the North West when required. What’s on Offer £40,000 – £45,000 salary, depending on experience.
