Overview
Our client is a well‑established specialist in aluminium façade systems, delivering high‑quality solutions across curtain walling, glazing, and window & door packages. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Façade Estimator to join their commercial team, playing a key role in securing and delivering profitable projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for aluminium curtain walling, glazing, and window & door systems
- Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Produce detailed take‑offs and pricing schedules
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
- Work closely with the design, commercial, and project delivery teams
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost‑saving solutions
- Attend pre‑ and post‑tender meetings as required
- Assess project risks and contribute to bid strategy
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Estimator within the façade or building envelope sector
- Strong knowledge of aluminium curtain walling, glazing systems, and windows & doors
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively
Desirable
- Experience working with leading façade systems (e.g., Schüco, Reynaers, Senior Architectural Systems)
- Knowledge of UK construction processes and contracts
- Commercial awareness and understanding of project profitability
