Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead a high‑value CHP and heating project in Leeds for a major blue‑chip client. This is a client‑facing role requiring strong mechanical expertise, adaptability, and exceptional stakeholder communication skills. The project contract has recently been signed and is now moving through a phase where programme variations are impacting cost and delivery timelines. The successful PM will be confident operating in a changing environment, providing calm, decisive leadership while maintaining transparency and trust with the end client.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical delivery of a £3m CHP and heating project from mobilisation through to completion
- Act as the primary point of contact for the end client and key stakeholders
- Manage and communicate programme variations, including their impact on cost, scope, and delivery timelines
- Maintain accurate reporting on progress, risks, and changes
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal delivery teams
- Ensure health & safety, quality, and compliance standards are met throughout the project
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Support commercial discussions relating to variations and revised programmes
