Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical installations on a range of commercial and industrial projects.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and scope documents to prepare comprehensive tenders.
- Source and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost efficiency.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and provide alternative solutions where beneficial.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders during the tendering process.
- Stay informed of current market rates, industry trends, and materials pricing.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction sector.
- Strong background working on projects in the education, healthcare, commercial, student accommodation or industrial sectors.
- In-depth understanding of electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarms, security, and data.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and work effectively under deadlines.
