Hours: 40 hours per week – flexible hours. Core hours 10:00am to 4:00pm

Site Based/Office/Remote: This EC&I Design Engineer role is predominantly office based in Bristol and up to 2 days per week WFH

Responsibilities

  • Designing and deploying robust EC&I systems aligned with ATEX, DSEAR and intrinsic safety standards
  • Integrating your EC&I designs into wider sustainability and engineering projects
  • Tackling complex instrumentation and controls challenges using a blend of experience, judgement and innovation
  • Preparing project scopes, cost estimates and timelines for new engineering work
  • Staying ahead of emerging technologies and industry best practice
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and growing talent around you

Requirements

  • HNC or higher in Electrical/Controls Engineering (or related discipline)
  • 5+ years’ experience in EC&I design—especially within ATEX/hazardous environments
  • Strong working knowledge of control systems, schematics, and safety regulations
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and a proven problem-solver
