About the Role

An established engineering services organisation supporting customers across the Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Process Industries is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer / Technician to join its specialist Valve Services team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanically minded engineer who enjoys hands on work, customer interaction and travelling to a wide variety of industrial sites. Whilst previous control valve experience would be advantageous, we are equally interested in candidates from a broader mechanical maintenance background and will invest significantly in training and development for the right individual.

Engineers with experience in in situ overhaul, plant maintenance, shutdowns, outages, rotating equipment or critical asset maintenance are particularly encouraged to apply.

This is a genuinely field based position and will suit someone who enjoys variety, thrives in industrial environments and is willing to travel extensively when customer requirements demand.

Working Pattern & Travel

The role follows the cyclical nature of the industries we support, with a blend of workshop based and field service activities throughout the year.

Winter Period (November - February)

Traditionally a quieter operational period with a greater focus on workshop activities, including:

  • Inspection, refurbishment and overhaul of control valves and associated equipment

Summer Outage Season (March - October)

  • On-site valve servicing and refurbishment

Travel will be required across:
