A global but family owned manufacturer in the Gloucester area are looking for a talented Maintenance Engineer to join their company. This manufacturer produces products that are some of the most recognised names across the world in their industry.

The ideal candidate will be a hard-working and adaptable Engineer with a strong technical background within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics; and carrying out line and equipment set-ups.

The role will also assist with, and in some cases manage, small-scale engineering and site projects. The position will contribute to environmental and energy-saving initiatives, operate the engineering ordering system, and complete breakdown, fault-finding, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) reporting.

Management and upkeep of the CMMS system and support of the site-wide Quality Management System (QMS) will also be required. Additional duties include responding to intruder, fire, and utility alarms as part of the call-out rota, writing and updating SOPs and technical reports, and undertaking any other reasonable tasks necessary for the effective operation and benefit of the business.

The key requirements of the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer will be:

  • Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within fast paced manufacturing environments such as Automotive, Food, Pharma, FMCG and more.
  • Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and fault-find using PLCs (advantageous but not essential).
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent is preferred.
