A global Robotics manufacturer is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their team to cover breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance across the UK. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working and adaptable Engineer with a strong robotics background. Operating across the UK and Ireland, you will be paid door-to-door and all necessary expenses will be paid for by the company whilst working away, along with an impressive company car provided.

- Salary: £45,000 + great OTE opportunity
- Hours: 37.5 per week

Key responsibilities
- Proficient in diagnosing and resolving faults across a wide range of equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotic, and control & safety systems.
- Support the installation, programming, and testing of new systems, as well as modifications and enhancements to existing equipment.
- Provide breakdown assistance both remotely (via telephone) and on-site at customer locations.
- Participate in regular company internal training sessions to maintain and expand technical knowledge in line with new products and services.
- Take part in the 24-hour support hotline on a rota basis, offering telephone troubleshooting and out-of-hours call-out support.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments to deliver results on time, ensuring customer satisfaction while supporting the company’s long-term objectives.
- Assist with service work, preventative maintenance, and mechanical/electrical upgrades, working to achieve key service objectives such as first-time fix rates and rapid response times.
Key requirements
- Genuine passion for machinery, automation, and robotics, with a strong interest in programming 6-axis robots.
- Some exposure to PLC controls and programming techniques, as well as fault-finding skills — advantageous but not essential.
- Solid mechanical and electrical knowledge, with proven ability to fault-find, problem-solve, and identify issues effectively.
- Flexible approach to work, including the ability to travel and work away at short notice across the UK and Ireland.
- Skilled in managing customer conflict with professionalism, demonstrating excellent time management, and effectively planning and prioritising multiple tasks and projects while ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Level 3 qualified mechanically or electrically (necessary).
