Due to continued success, our client is recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team. Working within a successful and proven team, this is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation.
About You – Working within a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment, you will have experience within the Food or beverage industry. You will have experience within senior leadership across production, Health and Safety, Quality and NPD.
Main Purpose of the Job -
- Preventative maintenance on machines and equipment; as well as responding to emergency machine breakdowns throughout the Factory.
- Involvement with new design, installation and movements of existing machines.
- Overhaul and repair of machines and equipment.
- Ensuring machines and equipment on site are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose.
- Be a Health and Safety Champion, always putting health and safety first and carrying out best practices and procedures.
- Highlight any concerns with health and safety.
- Work closely with the technical team to ensure any repairs or maintenance are in line with technical guidelines.
- Design, promote and carry out preventative maintenance.
- Ensure all machines are safe and fit for purpose.
- Undertake repairs and servicing to the highest standard in accordance with work requests and pre-determined specifications.
- Fault finding and testing. Where a detailed specification is not provided, determine the cause of the fault and then undertake the most cost-effective solution to remedy the defect.
- Effective communication – keeping Management and relevant parties aware and seeking advice and assistance when required.
- Overhaul and upkeep and repair of all plant machines.
- Installation of new machines and equipment when required.
- Actively promote safe working practices.
- Electrical installation when required.
- Review and advise on engineering requirements and drawings.
- Work with and coordinate contractors as and when required.
- Any other duty as may be required to maintain the performance of the factory that is within the Engineer's capability and skills.
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.
As a maintenance engineer, the key stakeholders are: Operations Team, Warehouse Team, Technical Team, Engineering Team and HR Team.

- Relevant Engineering Qualifications – Preferred HNC/18th Edition with Part P. Minimum NVQ Level 3.
