Exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a global manufacturing business who have won significant new programmes with automotive OEM customers.

This is an interesting and varied responsibility to work for a business that designs and manufactures components and assemblies for a wide range of automotive OEM customers, so this role affords the opportunity to work on customer projects from concept through to series production.

  • Lead, coach and mentor Shift Quality Technicians and Shift Quality Auditors in setting daily priorities and being a point of contact on shift.
  • Support PPAP and launch of all programs, engineering changes.
  • Coordinate Capability studies and gauge validation (Measurement System Analysis).
  • Review CAD drawings and understand the application requirements in conjunction with customer standards and dimensional reports.
  • Update Process Documentation – Standardised Work Instructions, Process Quality Records, Quality Alerts etc. Escalation of all quality concerns.
  • Perform Quality process audits.
  • Support the escalation, containment and analysis on internal and customer quality issues.

Applications are sought from experienced Quality Engineers or Quality Technicians with significant knowledge of production quality control gained within automotive tier 1 or OEM manufacturing.

  • Apprentice trained, HNC or Degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing methods and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Familiar with volume manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability to use quality tools such as PPAP, Control Plans, MSA and PFMEA.
  • Able to work 3 shift pattern (6-2).
