Interim People Advisor – 9-Month Contract

Location: Remote (occasional travel to Head Office – once every three months)

Industry: Legal

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Fixed-Term (9 months)

Are you an experienced ER specialist ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced legal environment? We’re seeking an Interim ER Advisor to join a leading law firm on a 9-month contract. This fully remote position requires only minimal office presence—just one day every three months at head office.

The Role

In this key role, you’ll be responsible for managing a high volume of ER cases (up to 40 at any one time), including complex issues that can lead to disciplinary outcomes, including dismissal. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders across the firm, providing pragmatic, expert advice and support on all aspects of employee relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and advise on a high caseload of complex ER matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence cases.
  • Ensure consistent, fair, and legally compliant outcomes.
  • Partner with HR colleagues and business leaders to guide them through sensitive and challenging ER issues.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and timely documentation and reports as required.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

About You

  • ER Specialist: This is not a generalist role—you must have focused exclusively on ER in your recent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years handling a high volume of ER cases, including complex and sensitive issues.
  • Stakeholder Management: Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders in a professional, and sometimes high-pressure, legal environment.
  • Strong understanding of current UK employment law and best practice.
  • Confident, solutions-focused, and able to operate with autonomy in a remote setting.

If you’re an ER expert looking for your next contract role and are confident in managing complex casework in a legal setting, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your CV to Matt Greenberg at matt.greenberg@technical-network.co.uk quoting job reference 268282203.
