A global but family owned manufacturer in the Gloucester area are looking for a talented Maintenance Engineer to join their company. This manufacturer produces products that are some of the most recognised names across the world in their industry.
Role: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Gloucester
Shift: Days
Responsibilities:
- Supporting machinery controls, programming and PLC requirements;
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics;
- Carrying out line and equipment set-ups;
- Assisting with, and in some cases managing, small-scale engineering and site projects;
- Contributing to environmental and energy-saving initiatives;
- Operating the engineering ordering system;
- Completing breakdown, fault-finding, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) reporting;
- Management and upkeep of the CMMS system;
- Supporting the site-wide Quality Management System (QMS);
- Responding to intruder, fire, and utility alarms as part of the call-out rota;
- Writing and updating SOPs and technical reports;
- Undertaking any other reasonable tasks necessary for the effective operation and benefit of the business.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within fast paced manufacturing environments such as Automotive, Food, Pharma, FMCG and more;
- Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems;
- Ability to read technical drawings and fault-find using PLCs (advantageous but not essential);
- Qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent is preferred.
