Our client is looking to recruit an Architectural Technologist with good Revit skills to join their team. You will be joining an award-winning practice as part of their architectural team, based in their Cambridgeshire office. The company is well established and works predominantly within the residential sector, delivering both private and affordable housing schemes.
The role will involve:
- Producing detailed working drawings and assisting in the development of standard design details
- Managing individual working drawing programmes, ensuring projects progress in line with agreed schedules and business plans
- Coordinating external consultants to ensure all supporting information is provided to the required standard and within agreed timeframes
- Preparing Employer's Requirements and specifications aligned with sales, development objectives, joint venture partner requirements, and key project milestones
- Managing and coordinating BIM processes and protocols within the in-house technical team, including maintaining Revit templates, standard components, and filing systems
- Compiling complete working drawing packages in accordance with company procedures and in collaboration with external consultants
- Undertaking regular and detailed technical design audits of working drawing schemes
- Providing technical and design detailing support throughout the working drawing and construction stages, including site visits and inspections when required
- Supporting, mentoring, and guiding junior members of the architectural team, encouraging their professional development
About you:
- Strong knowledge of BIM processes with proven experience using Revit
- Solid understanding of building processes and current Building Regulations
- A genuine passion for architecture and design
- A minimum of 5 years' experience producing residential working drawings
- Experience running individual projects and coordinating consultants through the working drawing stage is highly desirable
