Architect in Newport

We are seeking an experienced Architect to join our clients established architectural practice. You will be working within a collaborative studio environment that places good quality design, careful detailing, and thoughtful problem-solving at the heart of every project.

Their approach is practical and flexible, balancing strong design intent with a common-sense understanding of the realities of design development and construction. The majority of their work is residential, ranging from bespoke private homes to larger residential schemes, with a significant portion of projects involving listed buildings and conservation work.

The Role

• Deliver high-quality architectural design from concept through to completion

• Work on predominantly residential projects, including listed and conservation schemes

• Prepare and coordinate detailed drawings and technical information

• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities

• Contribute positively to design discussions and problem-solving during design and construction stages

About You

• ARB-registered Architect with proven post-qualification experience

• Strong design ability with an excellent eye for detail

• Experience in residential architecture is essential

• Knowledge of listed buildings and conservation projects is highly desirable

• Sound technical knowledge and understanding of UK building regulations

• Practical, proactive, and solution-focused approach

• Confident communicator, able to work independently and as part of a team
