Structural Engineer opportunity with an independent consultant in Cambridgeshire with a first‑class reputation for design. A small team with a friendly and relaxed approach built on trust and long‑term client relationships. With a track record of delivering high‑quality and complex projects to small and large clients across East Anglia and London.

We are looking for an adaptable Structural Engineer who’ll enjoy the challenge and reward of a varied and interesting client base. A job with real variety, which would suit an experienced Structural Engineer who can work closely with the practice directors.

Taking direct responsibility for all aspects of structural engineering, client enquiry, site meetings, running projects and detailed design in all materials. A team player, capable of coordinating project teams, preparing designs and delivering excellent service. You will liaise with clients from appointment to project completion.

The role offers real autonomy, trust, and career development with advancement to future directorship within the practice. You’ll need a background in building structures design and defect investigations.

Projects range from one‑off residential refurbs, extensions and structural alterations to complex commercial, technology, health, education and industry building schemes. You’ll have a breadth of structural design experience gained with another UK consultant and live locally in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, or Northants.
