We are partnering with a leading Tier-1 Infrastructure & Asset Management provider that oversees a multi-million-pound portfolio of public-private partnership (PFI/PPP) assets across the UK. They are seeking an Assistant SPV / SPC Manager to join their operational Asset Management team dedicated to a major acute healthcare estate in the North Kent area. It offers a direct pathway into full SPV leadership for an ambitious FM, contract, or project professional looking to move client-side. The Opportunity & Role In a mature operational healthcare PFI, physical and clinical needs are constantly evolving. Focusing heavily on Contract Variations and Small Works, you will manage operational change, lifecycle updates, and contract governance across the estate. * Variations Management: Oversee, evaluate, and administer contract variations, small works, and lifecycle alterations in accordance with the Project Agreement (PA) and FM Agreements. * Performance & Deduction Control: Monitor Hard and Soft FM service providers to drive operational quality, ensure statutory compliance, and eliminate availability or performance deductions. * Commercial & Financial Reporting: Support the SPC Manager with budgeting, commercial income initiatives, and financial reporting for the SPV Board. * Audit & Governance: Manage Health & Safety monitoring, quality assurance programmes, and action tracking across third-party operations. * Stakeholder Interface: Maintain strong, diplomatic relationships with NHS Trust representatives, clinical leads, and facility management teams. What We Are Looking For * PFI / PPP Knowledge: Direct experience working within operational PFI/PPP contracts (Healthcare, Education, or Defence sectors preferred). * Technical Background: Degree qualified in Facilities Management, Construction, or Building Services—or equivalent extensive Project/Estates Management experience. * Contractual Acumen: Solid understanding of PFI Project Agreements, payment mechanisms, FM subcontracts, and variation procedures. * Operational Drive: Practical understanding of statutory building compliance, Health & Safety legislation, and contractor auditing. * Credentials: Full UK driving licence and ability to pass standard DBS clearance. Package & Benefits * Base salary up to £60,000 per annum. * Private Medical Insurance & Healthcare Cash Plan. * Enhanced pension scheme and life assurance. * 25 days annual leave + bank holidays (increasing with service). * Active corporate support and funding for ongoing professional qualifications and memberships.
