We are seeking a motivated Electrical Design Engineer (Intermediate to Senior level) to join our Building Services team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of electrical systems across a variety of complex projects, with particular involvement in healthcare, laboratory, and science & technology facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to work on technically challenging projects while developing their design, coordination, and project leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and specification of electrical building services systems including:
- Power distribution
- Lighting and lighting control systems
- Emergency and standby power systems
- Small power systems
- Fire alarm and life safety systems
- Data and communications infrastructure
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
- Typically 3–10+ years of experience in electrical building services design (flexible depending on level).
- Experience using design software such as:
- Amtech / Trimble ProDesign or equivalent
- Dialux or Relux
- AutoCAD and/or Revit
Desirable Experience
- Experience delivering healthcare, laboratory, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or science & technology projects.
- Knowledge of HTM standards, critical power systems, or resilient infrastructure.
- Experience working in a BIM environment.
- Progress toward or achievement of Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
