We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Condition Surveyor to join a growing team. You will play a key role in delivering comprehensive building surveys for schools and colleges across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Hertfordshire.
As a Condition Surveyor, you will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive condition surveys of schools and colleges across your geographical patch. Working predominately from home with the occasional meeting from client offices and with the team from their East Anglian regional office.
Responsibilities:- Conduct in-depth inspections of educational buildings, both internally and externally
- Identify and assess potential building defects and health & safety hazards and maintenance priorities
- Ensure compliance with current building regulations and relevant legislation
- Prioritise maintenance and repair needs, providing accurate cost estimates
- Prepare clear, concise, and informative survey reports for clients
- Liaise effectively with school/college staff, academy trusts, and other stakeholders.
- Building Surveying degree (ideally MRICS or working towards)
- Minimum 3 years' experience carrying out comprehensive building condition surveys on education or commercial buildings.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality reports on time and within budget
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving license and a car (essential) - You will also need to be located centrally to the patch to cover the area within reasonable distance.
