Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Planner to support the delivery of complex Data Centre or Pharmaceutical projects from planning through to completion. The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules that align with contractual milestones, resource allocations, and stakeholder requirements. You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineering Teams, Site Leads, and Commercial functions to ensure projects remain on programme and risks are proactively managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed project plans and schedules in line with client requirements, contractual milestones, and delivery methodology.
- Review and refine project programmes to ensure logical activity sequences, dependencies, and realistic timelines.
- Maintain, update, and forecast progress using planning software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, ASTA Powerproject).
- Liaise with Project Managers, Design and Engineering teams, and Site personnel to integrate all disciplines into the master programme.
- Monitor progress and provide regular reports to stakeholders highlighting risks, delays, and mitigation strategies.
- Perform critical path and scenario analysis to support planning decisions and risk management.
- Ensure planning activities are compliant with internal governance standards, CDM regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Assist with resource planning, forecasting needs, and aligning schedules with materials, labour, and subcontractor commitments.
- Support tender and bid teams with construction programmes during proposals and pre‑contract planning.
- Archive and maintain accurate planning documentation, files, and revision histories.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Planner / Scheduler on Data Centre or Pharmaceutical construction projects.
- Strong ability with planning tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or ASTA Powerproject.
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Ability to analyse, interpret, and present planning-related data and project insights.
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and best practice in construction planning is desirable.
Desirable Attributes
- Project planning certification (APM, PMI scheduling credentials).
- Experience working in critical environments or complex facilities fit-out projects.
- Understanding of M&E works, fit-out sequencing, and commissioning programmes.
