We’re working with a leading data centre and infrastructure specialist delivering complex, MEP-heavy projects across the UK and Europe. They’re looking for a Planning Engineer to support programme delivery across live projects, with a strong focus on MEP packages and technically complex builds. Data centre experience is preferred, but candidates from other mission-critical environments (pharma, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing) will also be considered.
This is a hands-on planning role, working closely with Project Managers and site teams to manage programmes, track progress, and support delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and maintaining project programmes across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
- Working with site teams to ensure programme alignment across MEP works
- Monitoring progress against programme and identifying delays, risks, and recovery actions
- Supporting programme updates, look-aheads, and reporting
- Reviewing subcontractor and main contractor programmes where required
- Assisting with programme logic, sequencing, and resource planning
- Supporting change management, including variations and programme impacts
- Using tools such as Primavera P6 and/or Asta Powerproject
What you’ll need:
- Experience as a Planner / Planning Engineer within construction
- Strong exposure to MEP packages or technically complex projects
- Ideally experience within data centres or other mission-critical environments
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or Asta Powerproject
- Good understanding of construction sequencing and delivery
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with site teams
- Technical qualification in MEP, engineering, or construction (preferred)
