About the Role

We are seeking Construction Project Planners at Junior, Intermediate, and Senior levels to join a growing project controls and planning team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated professionals looking to develop or advance their careers within large-scale construction projects.

While experience in Data Centre, Cleanroom, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, or High-Tech Construction environments is highly desirable, candidates with strong residential, commercial, mixed-use, or general construction backgrounds will also be considered, particularly at Junior Planner level.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project programmes, supporting project teams in delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed construction schedules and project programmes.
  • Assist project teams with planning and sequencing of construction activities.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential delays, risks, and opportunities.
  • Produce short-term and long-term project plans and look-ahead schedules.
  • Support project controls processes including progress reporting and programme analysis.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, and subcontractors to gather project information and update schedules.
  • Prepare programme reports and presentations for internal and client meetings.
  • Analyse project performance against baseline programmes.
  • Participate in planning workshops, risk reviews, and project coordination meetings.
  • Ensure planning activities align with contractual requirements and project milestones.
  • Support resource planning and forecasting activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within project delivery teams.

Requirements

Junior Planner

  • Degree or qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years' experience in construction, engineering, project controls, or planning.
  • Experience on residential, commercial, fit-out, infrastructure, or industrial projects considered.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • Interest in developing a career in project planning and controls.

Intermediate Planner

  • 3–6 years' experience in project planning within construction or engineering environments.
  • Experience using planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to develop and manage detailed project schedules independently.
  • Understanding of construction methodologies and project lifecycles.

Senior Planner

  • 6+ years' experience in construction project planning.
  • Demonstrable experience on large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience within Data Centres, Cleanrooms, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Life Sciences, Industrial, or Mission Critical projects highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management and programme leadership skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior planners and lead planning activities across multiple projects.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in any of the following sectors will be viewed favourably:
