Role: Facilities Maintenance Technician (M&E)
Location: Ballycoolin, Dublin, Ireland
Salary: €45,000 + 33% shift allowance + quarterly bonus
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (07:00–19:00 / 19:00–07:00)
Rotation: 4 on / 4 off
We’re working with a specialist contractor that operates right at the heart of the data centre space, delivering and maintaining critical infrastructure across some of the most high-profile facilities in Europe. They’ve built a strong reputation for quality, technical delivery, and long-term client relationships, with a consistent pipeline of work across hyperscale and colocation environments.
You’ll be joining a team responsible for keeping a live, mission-critical site running 24/7. It’s a hands-on role with real exposure to both electrical and mechanical systems, and a strong opportunity to develop within the data centre sector.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across electrical and mechanical systems
- Responding to reactive maintenance and fault finding in a live environment
- Supporting the operation and maintenance of critical systems, including UPS systems & power distribution, generators & backup systems, HVAC, CRAC/CRAH units, pumps, valves, and associated mechanical plant
- Assisting with routine inspections, system checks, and testing
- Supporting minor installations, upgrades, and remedial works
- Logging all activities through CAFM systems and maintaining accurate records
- Working closely with internal teams and third-party vendors on site
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety and site compliance standards

- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability
- Exposure to systems such as UPS, generators, HVAC, or BMS

- Comfortable working a rotating 24/7 shift pattern
- Good understanding of health & safety and compliance procedures
