Applications Engineer - Electronic Hardware, Software & Control Systems - Junior to Mid level - Surrey. Degree qualified Applications Engineer with good technical knowledge (both Electronics & Software with some Industrial Control Systems) and ideally with experience of sales or application support within a High-Tech manufacturing environment, will join an exciting Company working in the Wind Energy sector.
Great opportunity for a Customer focused individual with a strong technical background and a keen interest in renewable energy.
As a key member of the Sales Team, the Applications Engineer will:
- Provide technical support to customers, understanding their needs and helping them to resolve technical issues.
- Conduct demonstrations and training.
- Work with product development teams to suggest improvements or new features.
- Create and maintain technical documentation such as user manuals.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies.
- Support the company at trade shows and exhibitions.
The Applications Engineer should possess the following:
- Minimum of BEng in Electronic Engineering or similar technical subject.
- Some experience working in a Sales Support or Applications Support role within a High-Tech International customer facing environment or a keen interest in working within a customer facing role.
- Knowledge of both Electronic Hardware and Software and ideally exposure to Industrial Control Systems.
- Knowledge of sensor interfacing and digital and analogue communication systems great to see.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The role will involve occasional travel to customer sites to attend trade shows and exhibitions. Applicants must have full eligibility to work in the UK and hold a valid passport.
