We’re growing. Technica is a specialist engineering company delivering complex, multi disciplinary projects for clients across the UK and international energy and critical infrastructure sectors – spanning EC&I (Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation), software and controls, mechanical, process and civil engineering, with full accountability from design through to build.
An ambitious five-year strategy is taking us into new markets, new capability and new scale – which means genuine opportunity for the people joining us now: to grow a career, take on real responsibility, and help shape where the business goes next, alongside a team with over 20 years in the industry.
OUR WHY
Technica exists because the work we do matters. Millions of people depend on the infrastructure our team helps design, build, and maintain – from the energy that powers homes and businesses to the critical systems that keep industries running safely. We’re driven by the impact of getting it right: safe operations, systems that perform, and clients who can focus on what comes next rather than worrying about what might go wrong.
Why this role matters

- Use site scan data and 3D modelling software to develop piping routes and layouts and reduce clashes
- Check piping and mechanical deliverables when required
- Apply Technica’s quality control procedures to all design outputs
- Report progress accurately against project programme requirements
What you'll bring

- Experience of G17/G35 engineering approvals would be an advantage
Design capability & collaboration:
- Extensive knowledge of 2D and 3D piping systems, equipment layouts and pipe routing
- Experience of providing construction support following design
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team
What you'll get
- Company Performance Bonus Scheme
