TECHNIA UK are looking for a SolidWorks focused Technical Consultant to join our team. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from home and our head office in Milton Keynes.

The SolidWorks focused Technical Consultant role: As our SolidWorks focused Technical Consultant, you will design, develop and implement information technology solutions for external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test and/or customize solutions to meet client requirements based on detailed specifications from technology/systems consultants.
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance software development processes to achieve a high level of maturity.
  • Understand the customers' business case for wanting PLM software.
  • Assist customers in designing and implementing solutions centred on goods and services by integrating Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Systems in digital environments to provide commercial value to the clients that extends beyond the job of technology.
  • Educate, guide, provide specific suggestions, transmit information, and develop and carry out action plans.
  • Responsible for the technical direction of the project and the successful implementation of the solutions provided to the customers.
  • Define and approve working methods, documents and/or processes for customers using the technical tools available.

Who do we think would suit this role?

Experience, skills and knowledge we are looking for in our SolidWorks focused Technical Consultant:

  • Relevant qualifications in an engineering or IT related subject. Alternatively, industry experience in engineering, IT or PLM related subject along with other industry recognised qualifications such as a BTEC - ONC, HNC or HND.
  • Experience of one or more leading PLM/PDM system e.g. Dassault Systmes, PTC, Siemens, Autodesk.
  • Continuous learning and improvement.
  • Shows leadership in delivery projects.
  • Demonstrate principles of teamwork.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to colleagues and larger diverse groups of people.
