Overview
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a client delivering a large-scale telecom network transformation programme in the UK. As part of this initiative, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of a critical network inventory and data migration workstream. This role is suited to a senior delivery professional who understands the telecom domain, is comfortable operating at executive level, and has a track record of leading complex, data-driven transformation programmes.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth transition of network asset data from legacy environments into a modern inventory landscape. You will act as the central point of coordination between stakeholders, delivery teams, and partners, maintaining momentum and control across all phases of delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a telecom network inventory migration programme
- Own programme governance including planning, RAID, reporting, and executive updates
- Act as the senior stakeholder-facing lead, managing expectations and decision-making at leadership level
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across onshore and offshore delivery models
- Oversee source-to-target mapping, data reconciliation, validation, cutover and stabilisation
- Ensure migrated network asset data meets quality, compliance, and operational readiness standards
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks in complex environments
Required Experience
- 12+ years' experience in Project / Programme Management within telecom
- Proven delivery of network inventory or OSS transformation / migration programmes
- Strong understanding of telecom network assets (physical and logical inventory)
- Experience delivering inventory migrations into network inventory / OSS platforms
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, including exec-level forums
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, multi-vendor, multi-geography environments
Desirable Experience
- Experience with leading network inventory platforms (any major OSS inventory systems)
- Background in fibre / FTTP / FTTH network environments
- Exposure to data migration, ETL processes, APIs, or cloud-based platforms
- Experience working through M&A or acquired network integration programmes
- Formal certifications (PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, Agile)
