Backed by long-term investment and experiencing continued growth, the business is strengthening its UK technology leadership to support scale, resilience and digital enablement.

Role & Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Business Technology Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping a secure, reliable and future-ready technology landscape for the UK business. • Build and govern the UK IT / OT project portfolio, including budgets, delivery plans and benefits tracking
  • Oversee all IT and OT operations across UK sites, covering infrastructure, connectivity, security and end-user support
  • Manage complex vendor and service-provider ecosystems, ensuring strong SLAs, performance and commercial control
  • Act as the primary UK interface with Group IT across infrastructure, cybersecurity, data platforms and digital systems
  • Ensure adherence to Group policies, standards and security frameworks across UK operations
  • Deliver projects using appropriate methodologies (gate-based, waterfall and agile), with clear governance and milestones
  • Monitor service performance, risk, resilience and continuous improvement
  • Support adoption of data, automation, AI and digital solutions to drive efficiency and operational performance.

About You

  • Experience delivering projects using recognised methodologies (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile); certifications preferred
  • Strong grounding in ITIL service management; certification desirable
  • Demonstrated success managing vendors, contracts, SLAs and service performance
  • Commercially minded, able to translate technology into clear business value
  • Experience in energy, utilities, industrial operations or infrastructure-heavy sectors is advantageous
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and leadership teams

Personal Attributes

  • Fast learner with the ability to quickly master new technology domains
  • Curious and forward-thinking about technology, data, OT, cyber and digital transformation
