  • Overview

We are supporting a global Life Sciences organisation undergoing a significant Digital Manufacturing transformation and are looking for an experienced Technical Product Owner to support the delivery of a strategic Digital Tech Transfer programme.

This is not a traditional Agile Product Owner position.

Instead, this role sits between Business, Architecture and Delivery, acting as the driving force behind programme execution.

Working alongside the Enterprise Architect and Senior IT Business Partners, you will translate business priorities into deliverable workstreams, coordinate multiple technology platforms and vendors, and ensure successful implementation across manufacturing sites.

You'll play a critical role in transforming Technology Transfer from a document-led process into a digitally connected operating model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive delivery of the Digital Tech Transfer programme.
  • Translate strategic business objectives into prioritised capabilities, roadmaps and delivery plans.
  • Coordinate multiple workstreams, vendors and technical teams.
  • Manage dependencies across enterprise platforms and manufacturing systems.
  • Own programme planning, milestones, releases and implementation sequencing.
  • Work closely with Enterprise Architecture to ensure successful execution of the technical roadmap.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and Operations stakeholders.
  • Define business capabilities, epics and implementation priorities.
  • Track programme benefits, business outcomes and value realisation.
  • Support governance, business adoption and stakeholder engagement throughout delivery.

Experience across several of the following would be highly beneficial

  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
  • Digital Thread for Life Sciences (DTLS)
  • Tetra Science
  • Data Lakes / Data Fabric
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
  • Digital Manufacturing Platforms

The successful contractor does not need expertise in every platform but must understand how complex manufacturing technologies integrate to support Digital Tech Transfer.

Experience Required

  • Significant experience delivering complex Digital Transformation programmes within Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
  • Strong background in Technical Product Ownership, Technical Programme Management or IT Project Delivery.
  • Experience coordinating multiple technology vendors and cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Understanding of Manufacturing Operations, Technology Transfer or Digital Manufacturing.
  • Experience translating business strategy into technical delivery plans.
  • Strong stakeholder management across Business, IT and Manufacturing.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced transformation environments with evolving priorities.
  • Experience with Technology Transfer or Lab-to-Plant initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Digital Thread architecture.
  • Exposure to SAP, PLM, MES, LIMS or Tetra Science.
  • Agile delivery experience within regulated manufacturing environments.
