Our client is a leading UK technology services provider, delivering enterprise Cloud, Connectivity and Managed IT solutions to a broad portfolio of customers across both the public and private sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a
Data Centre Operations Technician to join their Newcastle-based operations team.

The Role
You'll be responsible for supporting a wide variety of customer environments, ensuring critical infrastructure is deployed, maintained and supported to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities include
- Installing, configuring and deploying enterprise server, storage and networking hardware.
- Rack & stack installations, hardware upgrades and break/fix activities.
- Fibre and copper patching, structured cabling and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Managing incidents and requests through the internal ticketing system, ensuring SLA compliance.
- Maintaining accurate asset records and supporting data centre capacity management.
- Working closely with internal engineering and operations teams to deliver customer solutions.
- Following strict change control procedures whilst maintaining excellent operational standards.
About You
You'll ideally have experience with
- Server, storage and networking hardware deployment.
- Rack & stack installations.
- Hardware break/fix and component replacement.
- Structured cabling (copper and fibre).
- LAN connectivity troubleshooting.
- Working within SLA-driven support environments.
- Delivering excellent customer service and technical support.
- Experience within managed hosting or enterprise cloud environments.
- Knowledge of DCIM platforms (particularly NLyte).
- Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure.
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices and change management.
