Job Title: Senior Staff Engineer – Mobile Applications

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £92,000 per annum

We have been engaged by a prominent national retail and e-commerce organisation to seek experienced and talented Senior Staff Engineer with a focus on Mobile App Development. This role will be instrumental in driving the development of mobile applications within an established engineering practice, ensuring that the solution delivers against strategic priorities. The Senior Staff Engineer will collaborate with a number of cross-functional teams to develop robust, scalable, and high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development decisions for high availability/scalable mobile applications and influence development strategies within complex enterprise organisations.
• Develop native mobile applications, with a preference for iOS/Swift; knowledge of Android/Kotlin is beneficial.
• Apply expertise in mobile app architectural patterns and frameworks, alongside a solid foundational knowledge of wider software architecture principles.
• Utilize engineering techniques such as TDD and Pair Programming within an Agile development environment.
• Ensure adherence to application security and accessibility best practices.
