We are seeking a hands-on Salesforce Technical Lead / Lead Developer to provide day-to-day technical leadership within a scrum team delivering enhancements to a Salesforce platform used by both internal and external users. This role combines senior-level development capability with technical governance, code quality ownership, and delivery leadership. The successful candidate will lead by example, actively designing, building, reviewing, and deploying Salesforce solutions while ensuring alignment with development standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & Delivery
- Act as the technical lead within a scrum team delivering Salesforce configuration and custom development
- Lead solution design for stories and epics, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance
- Remain hands-on across Apex, Lightning Web Components, configuration, and integrations
- Conduct Proofs of Concept (POCs) to validate technical approaches
- Code Quality & Standards
- Own code quality across the team, ensuring adherence to best practices and development standards
- Review Apex, LWC, and configuration through structured peer reviews
- Ensure test coverage, execution, and meaningful test scenarios
- Maintain adherence to Definition of Done (DoD), including documentation and peer review
- DevOps, Release & Governance
- Support deployments using agreed DevOps tooling (e.g. Copado, codescan.io)
- Contribute to release readiness and implementation planning
- Participate in governance forums (e.g. Release Readiness, Handover)
- Ensure data model changes are approved, documented, and traceable
- Agile & Team Responsibilities
- Participate actively in scrum ceremonies
- Provide input into planning and challenge estimates constructively
- Ensure Definition of Ready (DoR) is met
- Maintain visibility of risks, impediments, and improvement actions
Skills & Experience
- Strong Salesforce technical leadership experience in enterprise environments
- Extensive hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) / Aura, Salesforce configuration and data modelling.
- Strong understanding of:
- Salesforce architecture
- Service Cloud
- Experience Cloud
- Salesforce Classic (where applicable)
- Agentforce Public Services / Omnistudio
Nice to Have
- Experience in regulated environments (financial services or government)
- Additional Salesforce certifications
- Experience with data model remediation or complex refactoring
