TechNET is looking to hire a senior Business Development Director to help drive the next stage of growth across our enterprise customer base. This is a senior commercial role focused on winning new enterprise accounts and expanding strategic relationships across technology-led markets including Data, AI, Cyber Security, Engineering and Cloud.

The role would suit a highly capable business developer who is comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, opening doors at enterprise level and building long-term commercial relationships across both business leadership and procurement. This is not a traditional people-management role. It is best suited to a proven, self-sufficient commercial operator who can work closely with the senior leadership team, leverage the wider TechNET business and take ownership of high-value enterprise acquisition.

The Role

As Business Development Director, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging and winning new enterprise customers across TechNET’s core technology markets. The focus will be on larger-volume opportunities across contingent labour, SOW, consultancy-led delivery and strategic workforce solutions. You will be expected to build relationships with senior stakeholders, understand enterprise buying processes and create opportunities where TechNET can deliver real commercial value. You will work closely with the CEO and internal delivery teams to shape propositions, unlock new accounts and convert senior relationships into long-term revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and develop a pipeline of enterprise-level customers across Data, AI, Cyber, Engineering and Cloud
  • Win new business across contingent labour, SOW, consultancy and workforce solution opportunities
  • Engage senior stakeholders across technology, transformation, procurement, commercial and operations functions
  • Use a consultative sales approach to understand customer challenges and position TechNET’s capability effectively
  • Open new strategic accounts and develop relationships that can scale over time
  • Navigate procurement processes and enterprise buying cycles
  • Leverage internal delivery, leadership and subject-matter expertise to support client acquisition
  • Build credibility with customers through strong market knowledge and senior-level engagement
  • Help shape TechNET’s business development approach across high-growth technology markets
  • Potentially support the hiring or development of future commercial talent as the function grows

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with a strong track record in senior business development, enterprise acquisition or strategic account growth. You may come from recruitment, consultancy, technology sales, solution sales, SOW, managed services, AI, data, cyber, cloud or engineering-focused sales. The key requirement is the ability to win enterprise customers, build senior relationships and create meaningful commercial opportunities.

Ideal Experience

  • Proven success in enterprise new business acquisition
  • Strong network across technology, transformation, procurement or consulting buyers
  • Experience selling contingent labour, SOW, consultancy, managed services or technology-led solutions
  • Comfortable selling into senior stakeholders and procurement teams
  • Strong commercial judgement and ability to manage longer enterprise sales cycles
  • Highly networked, credible and confident in senior-level conversations
  • Self-sufficient, proactive and able to operate without heavy management
  • Strong understanding of one or more of: Data, AI, Cyber, Cloud, Engineering or Digital Transformation
  • Ability to work closely with internal teams to shape solutions and convert opportunities
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the patience and discipline to build long-term enterprise relationships

Who This Would Suit

This role would suit someone who enjoys operating with autonomy and ownership. You may currently be a Business Development Manager, Business Development Director, Sales Director, Enterprise Account Director, Client Director, Strategic Account Director or Senior Commercial Lead. You do not need to be a people leader, but you must be able to operate at a senior commercial level and bring credibility with enterprise customers. This is a role for someone who understands that strategic business development does not happen overnight. It requires patience, relationship-building, commercial discipline and the ability to work closely with internal teams to convert opportunity into long-term value.

Why Join TechNET?

TechNET has a strong customer base, deep capability across technology recruitment and consulting-led delivery, and a proven platform for growth. The opportunity is to join at a senior level and play a key role in expanding enterprise relationships across some of the most in-demand technology markets globally. For the right person, there is significant earning potential through commission and equity participation, with the scope to help shape a major commercial growth area for the business.

Package

The role offers a competitive base salary, a strong commission structure and potential route to Board EMI equity opportunity. Commission is highly attractive, with earning potential linked directly to total deal value and long-term commercial growth.
