We are working with a fast-growing consumer brand undergoing a major digital transformation, with ambitious plans to scale its direct-to-consumer (D2C) offering.
As part of this journey, they are looking to appoint an Engineering Manager to lead the evolution of their eCommerce platform and build a high-performing, scalable engineering capability.
The Role
- Owning the technical delivery of a large-scale eCommerce platform
- Leading and developing a team of engineers while coordinating third-party support
- Making key decisions on how features are built, prioritised, and delivered
- Simplifying and improving existing systems, reducing unnecessary complexity
- Overseeing integrations across multiple systems including payments, CRM, subscriptions, and fulfilment
- Working closely with product and commercial teams to align engineering with business goals
- Introducing more efficient ways of working across testing, deployment, and automation
- Evaluating and implementing tools (including AI-driven solutions) to improve productivity
- Collaborating with wider technology teams to ensure consistency across shared systems
What They’re Looking For
- Experience leading engineering teams within eCommerce or digital platforms
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud or comparable platforms
- Confidence working across front-end, integrations, and platform architecture
- Ability to balance speed vs quality, delivering workable solutions quickly and iterating
- Experience working within existing systems and improving them over time
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams
- A commercially aware mindset – understanding how engineering impacts revenue and performance
- Interest in modern development practices, including automation and AI
