I’m currently working with a growing technology business looking to hire an Information Security Analyst into a newly created role within their security function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys ownership, wants to shape how security operations are run, and is looking for a role with genuine progression potential rather than a highly siloed environment.
The position sits within a small but growing security team and offers broad exposure across operational security, vulnerability management, incident response, security tooling, and process improvement. The organisation is looking for someone who can come in, take responsibility for key security operations activities, and help mature and scale the function over time.
Key areas of experience include:
- Security monitoring and alert triage
- Security operations / SOC workflows
- Vulnerability management
- Incident response support
- SIEM tooling such as Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, Rapid7 or similar
- Working closely with infrastructure and technical teams
- Improving operational processes and reducing manual effort
- Automation or scripting mindset beneficial
This role would suit someone with around 2-5 years of security experience who is looking to move into a position with more ownership, visibility, and long-term progression. The environment is collaborative, technically strong, and particularly well suited to someone who wants to help build and improve security operations rather than simply follow predefined processes.
Hybrid working with flexibility around office attendance. The expectation is typically around one day per week onsite in the Greater Manchester office, although there is flexibility depending on individual and team requirements.
