We're supporting a major UK organisation undergoing a large-scale transformation programme focused on modernising how individuals enter, develop, and progress within a professional ecosystem. This is a high-impact initiative aimed at creating a more accessible, trusted, and future-ready model, supported by improved user experience and operational effectiveness.
The programme spans multiple interconnected workstreams and operates as a single, integrated delivery function. It combines experience design, operational delivery, assessment frameworks, and partner engagement into a cohesive transformation effort.
As a Delivery Manager, you will play a critical role in enabling the smooth flow of work across the entire programme. You will establish and maintain a consistent delivery rhythm, ensuring alignment, visibility, and momentum across multiple cross-functional teams. This is a programme-level role focused on orchestration and flow, not ownership of priorities or design decisions. You will create the environment that enables teams to deliver effectively and make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain a consistent sprint cadence across all workstreams
- Facilitate core agile ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives, cross-team syncs)
- Ensure a shared rhythm, language, and expectations across teams
- Support structured backlog management, including sizing and sequencing of work
- Maintain clear visibility of work in progress across the programme
- Identify and surface dependencies, risks, and blockers early
- Enable collaboration across product, design, and delivery teams
- Support teams in delivering outcome-focused sprint goals
- Promote concise, decision-ready outputs over unnecessary documentation
- Ensure delivery aligns with programme milestones and governance expectations
- Not responsible for setting priorities or owning backlog content
- Not a design or policy decision-making role
- Not a traditional PMO or reporting-focused position
- Not a single-team Scrum Master role
Proven experience delivering within complex, large-scale agile programmes. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working across multiple stakeholders. Strong facilitation and coordination skills at programme level. Pragmatic, outcome-driven, and confident influencing senior stakeholders. Good judgement on when to step in and when to empower teams.
